The newly opened JW Marriott Resort & Spa in Jeju, also known as Jerryot, is generating high expectations. This is the first time the JW Marriott brand operates as a resort. It is expected to provide a differentiated experience from the existing Marriott Hotel at Shinhwa World. Although I have stayed at the Jeju Marriott before, Jerryot is expected to offer a new charm. If you are planning a trip to Jeju, it is worth looking forward to a special experience at Jerryot.

JW Marriott Jeju Resort & Spa is conveniently located in Seogwipo. It is within a 10-minute drive from Seogwipo city center and Olle Market, and is connected to Jeju Olle Trail Route 7, making it great for enjoying nature.
Especially, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the South Sea and Beomseom Island from the resort, making it an ideal place for relaxation and leisure. This place, reminiscent of Ananti Hilton Busan, is recommended for travelers seeking a quiet healing experience.

The accommodation that opened in April 2023 has a rather high price.
The basic rate for one night in a deluxe room exceeds 1 million won, including taxes.
Many travelers are surprised by the price.
Breakfast and brunch are provided, but the prices are not cheap. Breakfast is around 100,000 won and brunch is 150,000 won. However, the buffet menu including caviar and champagne is said to be worth the price. These luxurious menus are even more attractive on special occasions.
The recently opened hotel offers a variety of à la carte menus. Prices range from 30,000 won for abalone porridge to 70,000 won for a breakfast set. However, as it is newly opened, the menu and prices are subject to change.
The room prices are around 700,000 to 800,000 won, but reviews indicate that the service and facilities do not meet expectations for such high prices. It remains to be seen if improvements will be made.
JW Marriott Jeju is a luxury hotel with a basic room rate exceeding 1 million won per night. Such luxury accommodations feel exclusive to the wealthy. However, if you have Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite membership, you can enjoy a cost-effective stay.
Especially by using point stays, you can save costs while enjoying a special experience at JW Marriott Jeju. If you are looking for an economical trip, actively utilizing point stays is recommended.

I am using the Shinhan Marriott Bonvoy Card. When you spend 1 million won annually, you are provided with a stay voucher worth 35,000 points. In the Gyeongsang region, the voucher can be used at Westin Chosun Busan and Daegu Marriott. Considering the various benefits, it is a very useful card.

↑↑Marriott Bonvoy The Best Shinhan Card Overview
The stay at JW Marriott Jeju varies from 38,000 to 55,000 points. Initially, in the early stages of opening, there were prices in the early 30,000 won range, but now points are on the rise.
If you use the Shinhan Marriott Bonvoy Card, you are provided with a free stay voucher, and by adding 15,000 points to 35,000 points, you can stay in a room worth up to 50,000 points. If points are insufficient, a significant amount can be paid immediately by card, making it convenient.
It is worth considering utilizing Marriott points when planning a trip.
During peak weekends, points range from 40,000 to 59,000. Considering the actual room charge, point stays at Jerryot seem to be the most efficient choice. Although I looked into point stays at JW Marriott Jeju, the reservations were already fully booked. Known as the Jerryot point stay craze, those in the know had already made reservations in advance.
Upon investigation, it turns out that all rooms available for point stays are fully booked until May 2024, and will be available again from June onwards. Therefore, planning and booking in advance is necessary. If planning a peak season trip, quick action is essential.
Accommodation worth 2 million won for 2 nights can be utilized with 75,000 to 110,000 points through point stays. Enjoy an economical trip by utilizing points.
Did you know that the points used for Jerryot point stay reservations change daily? This is a very interesting point. Therefore, it is important to proceed with reservations when the lowest points for the desired day appear. I checked daily to book 2 nights in July 2024.
Eventually, when 77,000 points were accumulated, I made the reservation immediately. Out of this, 35,000 points were used for a free stay voucher, and the remaining 42,000 points were paid with $500. However, due to the rising exchange rate, the final payment amount was in the high 600,000 won range. Additional point payment was not possible through the Marriott app and had to be done via the web.
As a result, I am satisfied with booking 2 nights in the 600,000 won range. I want to share my experience of riding the Jerryot point stay craze. I realized once again the importance of checking the changing points daily.
If the cost per night is below 38,000 points, it is recommended as an efficient stay. By using a free stay voucher, you can stay one night without additional points. Don't miss the opportunity to stay even cheaper using the Shinhan Marriott Card's 2-night stay voucher event.
Breakfast costs at JW Marriott Jeju can be expensive, but with the Shinhan Card Marriott Bonvoy discount, you can save 50,000 won. I plan to utilize this benefit well for next year's stay. Currently, there may be changes related to breakfast, so visiting will provide accurate information.
I have booked a point stay at JW Marriott Jeju for this summer vacation.
